# How do we check whether a canon is complete?

A successful example tests one path. To discuss coverage, also consider:

1. **Source coverage:** which provisions are included or excluded, and why?
2. **Conditions and exceptions:** is there a case for each important branch?
3. **Boundaries:** equality at a threshold, adjacent dates, and extreme values.
4. **Missing facts:** do unknowns remain unknown?
5. **Conflicts:** what happens when grounds support different conclusions?
6. **Versions:** does changing the applicable edition change the answer?
